"Take great care of the kids while I'm gone. If we die, you just be the parents then. It's going to be a wild ride. I just don't know if we'll make it."

So Mademoiselle bravely said as she cast off to sea aboard her picnic blanket boat, stocked with a rocking horse, a few wood planks, some plastic balls, some tree branches, a soccer ball, a bat, and a tricycle.

"I'll do my best," I answer reassuringly.

Wild ride, indeed!

What a character! She has been so very present right from birth, hasn't she. I love seeing and reading about your happy days swimming, splashing, eating, laughing, chickening, animaling, with your kids. It sure does rush by fast. K. is now taller than me, and it feels so strange to look slightly up to her and tell her to do her chores, and then at night still want to hold her on my lap before she goes to sleep. Kids are a trip!

I can't even imagine what that will be like. So much personality comes in such a little package - and then they GROW!

I'm glad to know you are here! It's good to "see" you.
