When you're married to someone who is into wildlife (of all shapes and sizes), you might end up having conversations like this.
Him : "It's really cool the way nightcrawlers mate."
Me : "Oh, yeah?"
He describes and demonstrates using his two pointer fingers.
Him : "...so they stick parts of their bodies out of the ground like this and then they're joined together like this, and sometimes one of them is sticking up like this."
Me : "Mmmm. Neat."
Him: "But the best part is you can get two in one grab."
Me: "Nice. Get them while they're distracted. Good strategy."

Conversations like that happen over here all the time too. Peter is on such an obsessive herping kick right now and is soooo excited to see how Tyler rolls.
Hate to disappoint but there aren't many herps up here. Too cold most of the time. But who knows, maybe they'll luck out. Now, down in Tucson, they'd have a herping blast.
Dang how cold is it there? What's July weather like?
Now that's just wrong! Too much info...but funny nonetheless!
July should be 80's - 90's, but it's the 9 cold months out of the year that limit it. We're above 7,000 feet.
I love reading your blog!
Oh DEAR! All Lane ever talks about is sports, movies, lack of employment. How dull! :O)
I always thought they reproduced asexually.
Mandi - Thanks! That's fun to hear.
Martie - Sports, movies...huh. Wha?
Andrya - I don't know about these things, I just repeat them. Anyway, they were up to something.
