James, B., a friend, and S.
We got home from a trip to SLC last night. We had a pretty amazing time while we were there. Can I call it amazing even thought most of what we did was hang out? I guess I really love hanging out. It didn't hurt that the people we were hanging out with were fun family members. Here are some highlights -
- Jazzercise. I'm not kidding. Seriously. Don't look at me like that! It was great.
- Braiding my nieces hair. I love my niece. I love doing hair.
- Talking with my brother and sister-in-law. We're deep. And shallow. And that makes me giggle.
- Visiting my brother and his beautiful girls, and the fly-flies and laughter that ensued. I love them.
- A day of rides and games with Tyler's high school friend and his family! Very cool.
- Going dancing. I thought it would be her and me on the dance floor, with our husbands looking on, but my Tyler surprised me. We partied like it was 1999. (the year we married. awwww.)
- Birthday parties. 2 sweet nieces turned another year older, and one got a Sing-a-ma-jig. Strangely addicting, that.
- Pizza, gaming, and March Madness with Tyler's cousins' family. We haven't seen them in too many years. It made me want to sit down and cry. Oh, wait, that wasn't me.
- Eating out! Have I ever mentioned what a treat it is to eat good food that I don't have to make? I don't hate cooking, but a break is so welcome.
- Cake Boss, Man vs. Food, and the Cosby Show. We had time to veg, and veg we did.
Overall, I have the best nephews and nieces in the world. I'm a lucky one. And my kids have the best cousins. They are even more lucky, because cousins? That's a relationship I seriously envy.
I hope you didn't cry because you missed me too much.
