No, we don't have a storm, or even some fog. There's a fire burning in a forest not too far from here, and this is what our town looks like through the smoke that's blown in the last couple of days. It's pretty crazy. I just hope that the hard-working fire fighters are able to control the fire before it encroaches one any houses. While so much of the country is over-wet, we've had a really dry winter, and this is the result!

Horribly. It's a bad one, and they are evacuating all campers from Hannigan Meadows area through Big Lake, and soon Alpine. This is going to be 10s of thousands of acres - it doubles from 6 - 12 thousand yesterday alone.
That really makes me sad. The loss of trees in itself makes me cringe. We had a pine beetle outbreak here that meant that neighbors had to cut down many trees. SAD! Is anyone having trouble with breathing?
